Founded in 1933, the DYC is a members club for a variety of upscale water sports, including fishing, sailing, scuba diving and kayaking. Originally stationed at Dar es Salaam harbor, the club has since moved to Leopard's Cove in the beautiful waters of Msasani Bay. Although it was originally founded as a sailing club exclusively, the DYC now offers a variety of enticing events and recreational opportunities for local and visiting members. It also features a restaurant, bar and swimming pool for the less ambitious vacationer.
